About the Arts & Business Alliance

Who We Are

The Arts & Business Alliance is a coalition of area arts organizations, businesses and community leaders that focuses on creating arts and business partnerships to boost the local economy.  The primary work of the group is developing synergistic relationships among businesses, arts organizations, individual artists and the general public, with specific benefits to each; Connecting with other arts organizations in the state; Developing marketing campaigns; Connecting students and rising artists with businesses; and Aligning municipal leaders with the objectives of the Alliance.

The Arts & Business Alliance believes the economic vitality and quality of life of our community rely on thriving arts and business sectors.  The two are integrally connected, and the health of each sector relies heavily upon the other.

Our Mission

“To promote and strengthen economic and community vibrancy in the greater Lake Sunapee Region through the arts, artists, and creative industries.”

Promote Greater Community and Economic Development through leveraging the power of the Arts.

Through access to cultural programming, the Alliance strives to enliven neighborhoods, create spaces to share ideas, educate children through STEAM, and enhance quality of life in the region.

Connect with other arts organizations throughout New Hampshire

The Arts & Business Alliance strives to connect with other arts councils, non-profits, and state-wide arts initiatives to be well networked in the good work throughout the State.

Strengthen the connectedness of arts organizations in the region

Cultivating synergistic relationships will help area arts organizations locate and secure viable funding sources, as well as attract volunteers and board members.  The Alliance works to promote centralized marketing campaigns to promote arts & cultural destinations in the region.

Provide opportunities for individual artists.

The Alliance aims to help area artists achieve higher visibility to help increase sales of artwork, access educational opportunities, discover funding sources, and provide greater access to presenting venues region-wide.

Develop partnerships with businesses.

Alliance members partner with area businesses through cross-promotional partnerships, developing broader visibility for businesses, and providing ongoing opportunities for residents and visitors to support local businesses while experiencing arts programming.

Aligning Municipal Leaders with the work of the group

The group seeks to collaborate with area municipal leaders to help leverage the power of existing cultural institutions to strengthen and build communities, as well as developing new opportunities for the arts to become more central in communities.
